profilaktinis patikrinimas statusas T sritis biomedicinos mokslai apibrėžtis Didelės žmonių grupės tyrimas, kuriuo nustatoma anksčiau nediagnozuotos ligos ir ↑rizikos veiksniai, taikant nesudėtingus tyrimo metodus. Tyrimo iniciatyva priklauso tyrėjui, bet ne tiriamiesiems. Profilaktinis patikrinimas gali būti visuotinis (mass screening), tikslinis (targeted screening) ir profilaktinis gyventojų, apsilankiusių sveikatos priežiūros įstaigose, patikrinimas (case-finding or oppurtunistic screening). Visuotinis profilaktinis patikrinimas – visų gyventojų (visos ↑populiacijos) patikrinimas. Pavyzdžiui, visų suaugusių gyventojų arterinio kraujospūdžio matavimas. Atliekant tikslinį profilaktinį patikrinimą, tiriami žmonės, kurių tikimybė susirgti tam tikra liga yra didesnė. Pavyzdžiui, prie šių tyrimų priskiriamas žmonių, dirbančių kenksmingomis sąlygomis, sveikatos patikrinimas.
